TassaTag.org – A Most Worthy Cause

As I’ve indicated elsewhere, I am a great believer in the potential of the Web. The fact that the vast majority of fall way way shy of the mark – well, that just seems to be the way of us humans, doesn’t it? And, rather bemoan our myriad shortcomings, let’s celebrate when one of us hits the mark!

I’ve never actually met Brenda Hepler but it’s been my privilege to work on TassaTag.org for a number of years now. Recently, Brenda was looking to add a bit of functionality to the site and I suggested we convert the entire site to WordPress (hoping that she’ll feel comfortable toblog as well…)

And so we have the new TassaTtag.org – looking very much like the old TassaTag.org.

If anything, the newly launched TassaTag.org illustrates one perhaps under-appreciated fact about WordPress – these days it’s possible to customize sites to match almost any appearance. The days of cookie-cutter, logo in the upper-left hand corner are way way over.

So have a look, read all about the fine work TassaTag & ECPAT are doing to stop trafficking and maybe support the cause with a purchase.

And give silents thanks for folks such as Brenda who, when seeing a wrong, devote themselves to eradicating it.

Thank you, Brenda.

  1. Tom, Thank you for everything. To all who are reading, this man took me as a client knowing how little I knew, and carried me the whole way. For those of you who are starting your own enterprises, and are new with the technology required in today’s world, Tom is the man. He came up with the perfect website…not fancy, which. I believe, is in keeping for a non-profit. but in perfect taste. When I started the TassaTag business, many people commented on how much they liked the website. Now he is moving me a step further with a blog…..TassaTag would not be the same without him.

I look forward to hearing from those who want to do something to help prevent child sex slavery. Tag and Bag and be a visible voice.

Thank you, Brenda – I appreciate the kind words.

Interestingly, my original post contained a Freudian slip in which I incorrectly identified Brenda as “Helper” instead of “Hepler.” Brenda is, of course, a great “helper” but her proper name is, in fact “Hepler.”

      Tom
